Everett, PA — Lampire Biological Laboratories recently hosted the Penn State Reproduction Research Team, a club of undergraduate students from PSU-University Park who are passionate about reproduction research. Touring Lampire’s bioprocessing lab and farm campus facilities in Everett, the students observed how work in animal science relates to the life sciences and biotech industry. Gregory F. Krug, Lampire President, spoke to the students about the application of animal-derived products in diagnostics, veterinary reproductive science, and the recent CBS 60 Minutes episode entitled “The Clones of Polo.” Gary Klinger, Lampire’s Laboratory Manager, and Lorraine Hall Lampire’s Farm Operations Coordinator, spent the morning with the club members educating them on how work with animals can translate into life-saving diagnostics used throughout the world. Lampire is proactive in providing student tours, job shadowing and internships to promote life science education.
