The Organic Snack Company is pumping out snack bars for Kate’s Real Food after completing construction of a 20,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in the Bedford County Business Park despite some pandemic-related delays.
“We hope to run multiple shifts as soon as the sales justify it,” said Mark Thaler, The Organic Snack Company CEO. “We’ve got nine people already on the team. It feels good to be able to hire at a time like this.”
Members of the media were invited to join BCDA President Bette Slayton and Kate’s Real Food co-owners Kate Schade and Bruce Thaler for a tour of the co-packing plant Thursday.
“I give most of my credit to Bette Slayton and the BCDA,” Bruce Thaler said. “Without them, I don’t how we would’ve gotten this off the ground.”
