The Omni Bedford Springs Resort and Spa continues to be an incredibly important asset for Bedford County and the surrounding region. Facing strong competition from similar properties regionally and nationally, the Omni Bedford Springs embraces its role in attracting guests from locations far and wide. It is also a major catalyst for growth in all of Bedford County.
“Competition is great,” said Omni Bedford Springs general manager, Bill Liedholm. “I believe that there is enough business that if we all, as competitors, do everything we can to earn business, all of us will benefit through the increase in quality options.”
Liedholm believes that Omni Bedford Springs is fortunate to have a genuine connection to communities throughout the county.
“Understanding our history and how it forms the fabric of our relationships has been the key to much of our success,” Liedholm said. “Bedford County is a textbook example of how businesses and individuals work together to form an attraction much bigger than the individual businesses.”
Regionally and nationally the three assets driving the success of Omni Bedford Springs are: History, Location and People, according to Liedholm.
“The historical significance of the Springs opens many doors in terms of consumer interest. Our rural and natural setting is so appealing to our guests and offers an experience that many do not get to enjoy during their everyday lives. Most importantly, our people take tremendous pride in delivering the experiences promised,” Liedholm explained.
The leadership at the Springs is proud of the recognition the Resort has received.
“Bedford Springs continues to grow its visitation rates year over year,” Liedholm said. “While we have no major venue expansions this year, we are focusing on increasing the number of experiences we offer to guests. Horseback riding is being added to the property after a hiatus of several years. Feasibility studies are also being conducted to determine the best expansion options going forward so we can continue to grow with this vibrant community.”
