Bedford County Development Association Board Members represent a diverse cross section of industry and business from all areas of the county.
President and CEO
Bette leads development activities in the county including supporting and encouraging new businesses to move into the county and existing firms to expand. Prior to coming to BCDA, she was director of development finance for the Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission, and was assistant vice president of the Mark Twain Bank in Kansas City, MO. Bette served from 2001-2002 as the president of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association and currently serves on a number of statewide economic and workforce development boards and committees.
Vice President
Jennifer Marsh, BCDA Vice President, plays a significant role in the continued growth and enhancement of Bedford County. Prior to coming to BCDA, Jen spent 11 years in health care administration with Meritus Health in Washington County, MD. Jen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Walden University.
Office Manager
Melanie first started with BCDA in 2006 as a PA CareerLink intern and was hired full time in 2008. She is often your first contact with our office.
Melanie has been with BCDA for 18 years but she does not spend all her time in the office. During her time off she loves hanging out with family and her pet, Razr. She also enjoys crocheting, painting and putting together puzzles.
